Logistics / Illuminated Signs

Illuminated Signs
for Logistics.

Signs for depots, routes and working fleets. Illuminated signs combine a visible daytime finish with controlled light after dark. The letter depth, face material, colour temperature and brightness should all support the brand without creating glare.

The application

Where it earns its place.

Depot names, gates and goods-in directions must be legible from the route where decisions are made. Typical applications include restaurant fascias, retail names, reception features and identification for businesses that trade into the evening. Face-lit letters give a direct luminous face, halo-lit letters wash light onto the backing surface, and light boxes suit compact logos or changeable display areas.

Depots and distribution premises combine yard approaches, vehicle movement and often limited installation windows.

From brief to upkeep

Details make the difference.

Material choice, fixing and care should follow the conditions of your actual premises.

01 / 04

Specify

Survey the proposed sign position and viewing distance before confirming dimensions and fixings. Built-up aluminium or stainless-steel letters can be paired with opal acrylic faces and LED modules. Aluminium trays, acrylic panels, tensioned faces, transformers and cable routes are specified together so the visible sign and its electrical components form one practical system.

02 / 04

Produce

Artwork is checked for minimum stroke widths and the space required for LEDs, returns and fixings. Letter shells or trays are fabricated, faces are cut, LED modules are laid out for even coverage, and the assembled sign is tested before dispatch.

03 / 04

Install

Agree traffic control, working height, loading-bay availability and vehicle downtime before fitting signs or graphics. Installation planning must confirm the wall construction, cable path, isolation point, access equipment and location of power supplies. Fixing templates help position separate letters consistently, while trays or rails can reduce the number of penetrations into a frontage.

04 / 04

Look after it

Accessible power supplies make future maintenance simpler. Faces and returns should be cleaned gently, and any loss of illumination should be investigated rather than left to place extra load on the remaining components.

Think beyond one surface

Logistics sites need to be found, entered and navigated without mixing visitor routes with goods movements. Fleet graphics also need to remain readable and consistent across vehicles of different sizes.
